Simply everything: The wifi: excellent The showers and toilets: Immaculate The staff: are AMAZING 🤩 The entire place is immaculate Location: exceptional Humidifier in the room Aircon too Beds are amazingly comfortable One item I have to reward the guest house on is their total respect for the traveler/ backpacker. We experienced some issues with the toilets and instead of doing nothing we ALL received a note apologising for any inconvenience caused and a bill of ¥.1000 ($6.55) left on ALL our beds as a gesture of good will and appreciation for our understanding - One word for this WOW!.... Only in Japan; I have traveled to over 127 countries and stayed in thousands of hostels /hotels/ guest houses etc etc and I can tell you now I have never experienced such an amazing level of detail and generosity. 10/10 for this accommodation and their hard working staff...

The staff was amazing! They were so kind, chatty ans helpful! They let me check-in early, as my bed was done, which I really appreciated. The café downstairs is really welcoming, and it gives a nice vibe to the guesthouse. The room was small (4 female dormitory), but it was clean with a traditional Japanese set up. There is an only female shower/toilet, which is always appreciated. The sharing space was super welcoming, and allowed to meet people. There is a full amenities kitchen too. The location is super convenient, 10' walk from Osaka station. It's in a very vibrant and lively neighbourhoods, with kobinis, bars and restaurants all around! Overall, everything was clean and well-kept. Would stay there again!

One of my favorite places to stay in Japan. The staff are so nice and friendly. There’s a cafe downstairs and the area has so many restaurant options. And it’s just a walk away from the train station so it’s very convenient. The same station also has a direct line to KIX. I stayed in several different rooms, 2 single rooms and a 4 bedroom room. I’d recommend either the single room that’s a futon on tatami. Or the women’s 4-bed shared room (if you’re traveling with light luggage). Both were nice and quiet. I Like how there’s clear rules about keeping quiet after a certain time and the place feels clean. There’s a kitchen space where you can lounge around too.

Lovely hostel just above a coffee shop. We stayed in a double room with very comfortable futon beds. Toilets and showers very clean with free amenities like shampoo and conditioner. Large communal space with 2 big tables and a seating area. Some free tea/coffee but no milk so you would need to get some! Kitchen facilities if you wanted to cook ramen ect. Little 7/11 down the street perfect for snacks and breakfast. Lots of great ramen places in walking distance (recommend the duck ramen at moe-men). Can store luggage after checkout for a small fee but we didn’t need to use that.

I had one of the best stays of my Japan trip at U-en. The beds were spacious and the location was good, very close to the train station and some nice cafes. The cafe downstairs makes one of the best cappuccinos I've had here, it made me feel like I was back home (and they have soy milk!). Most importantly, the staff were all so great. It really feels like we've become good friends so even though I didn't meet many people at the guest house I didn't feel lonely because of the staff. I would love to come back and see them all again ☺️
